On the afternoon of January 13, 2025, a delegation from Tangshan Sanyou Chemical Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Sanyou Chemical) visited the National Center of Technology Innovation for Smart Process Manufacturing (referred to as the NCTI-SPM). The delegation engaged in discussions with Du Wenli, Director of the NCTI-SPM, and Feng Enbo, Deputy Director, regarding cooperation in smart factory planning and construction.
Prior to the meeting, the Sanyou Chemical delegation toured the NCTI-SPM's exhibition and demonstrations, including the ethylene virtual plant, full-process optimization system, intelligent manufacturing systems, and industrial software solutions, gaining firsthand experience of innovative applications of smart technologies in process manufacturing.
During the symposium, both sides introduced their respective attendees and exchanged in-depth insights on their strengths in technological innovation, achievement transformation, and industrial applications. Yang Minglei, a core researcher at the NCTI-SPM and a professor at East China University of Science and Technology, provided a detailed overview of the center's establishment background, strategic objectives, and key achievements, further enhancing mutual understanding of each party's capabilities. Additionally, Li Zhongmei, Assistant Director of the NCTI-SPM, shared successful collaboration cases with silicon-based chemical enterprises, offering practical references for exploring comprehensive, multi-level cooperation models.
Director Du Wenli extended a warm welcome to the Sanyou Chemical delegation. She emphasized that, against the backdrop of China's strong push for high-quality development in manufacturing, the collaboration between Sanyou Chemical and the NCTI-SPM holds significant importance for accelerating the intelligent and high-end transformation of the chemical industry. She expressed hope that both parties would leverage their respective strengths—Sanyou Chemical's deep expertise in the chemical sector and the NCTI-SPM's leadership in smart technologies—to enhance synergy across the industrial chain and build a complementary, collaborative supply chain ecosystem.
Yang Chengyou, Director of the Digitalization and Information Department at Sanyou Chemical, introduced the company's exploration and challenges in intelligent manufacturing. He noted the strong alignment between Sanyou Chemical's business layout and the NCTI-SPM's research focus and expressed eagerness to work together to overcome key technological bottlenecks in intelligent manufacturing and accelerate the digital transformation of the chemical industry.
Representatives from Sanyou Chemical and the NCTI-SPM also participated in the discussions.
